Florida is No. 1 in the nation to sell Powerball

189 million dollars in Orlando Saturday Powerball winner? The odds were in our favor in Florida.
Florida is No.. 1 among the 30 participating countries (and the District of Columbia and Virgin Islands) for Powerball sales, selling about 15 percent of all tickets, "he said Chuck Strutt Multi-State Lottery Association.
"It's just a statistical probability that the state would have more winners," he says.
He had no figures for sales of tickets, but by my calculations: around 3.25 billion dollars in sales for the year, which means it sells more than $ 9 million in tickets a week.
Of this amount, 40 percent goes to public education, 10 percent go to retail commissions, suppliers, and operational costs, and 50 percent are repaid through the rates.
While Saturday was the first Powerball jackpot winner Florida added in January, we already have 13 winners 1 million U.S. dollars. These are players who collected five of five numbers but not the Powerball. But she chose the Power Play option - an automated system that makes 1 million U.S. dollars.
But it is not so intriguing as a winner of $ 189 million - not yet submitted.
"We are pleased that we won," said Florida Lottery Laura Wright. "This is what we hoped."

Powerball winner must travel to Tallahassee to turn the ticket and claim the money. The Orlando Sentinel Gary Taylor says it is a rumor that the winner is associated with SunTrust Bank. If so, should be with Mr Drysdale.
State law, have to disclose their name, address and age. Something else is at the lottery to convince people to pay. E 'in the best interest of the Lottery: a beautiful human history reminds us that could happen to us - so we buy more tickets.
Back to information about Florida Power Ball ticket. No. Why do you think we are. 1? The Game we love so much? We do not have slots in most of the state, so is our great sensation? We are losers? If you optimistic?

High-speed track in Louisiana?

Bobby Jindal, the Republican governor of Louisiana, made headlines on Saturday for refusing to $ 300 million in start-up money to promote high speed rail system in the Bayou State. Mr. Jindal kept the application of clock time Friday for the funds. The governor said he was concerned about the future maintenance of the proposed rapid rail line between New Orleans and Baton Rouge.
It 'still in Louisiana was discussion on whether the refusal of Mr Jindal remedy for his country. Joseph Cao, a Republican member of New Orleans, has already spoken against the decision of the Governor.
Political debates aside, there are some indications that the New Orleans-Baton Rouge corridor is not necessarily the best choice for a train speed. Last month, the people of America, 2050, a sort of think tank focused on the concept of 'mega-regions ", a report [PDF] on" What is the best High-Speed Rail. "
America, 2050 27.000 links between the cities of size, the distance is calculated, transit connections, economic productivity, congestion, and if they are part of a mega region of interconnected cities. Baton Rouge, New Orleans, not in Top 50 *. Instead, the results of conventional wisdom: Confirming the northeast corridor, the upper Midwest and the West Coast of the best places in America for the new high speed line. And while Mr. Jindal hesitation not the Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger hesitate to ask for the HSR irritating. Perhaps it is the President read the report.
* Update: I ruined this one, Infrastucturist recalls that the city pairs across America in 2050 rank was 100 miles away, and New Orleans-Baton Rouge is not. The couple could not be in the top 50. Sorry! Of course, that the relationship is solid, "a distance of less than 100 miles for a better car and mobility of the suburban train network," and not travel as part of his ideal phased introduction of HSR in America. The point that Mr. Jindal, the state is probably not the best choice for high-speed rail still holds.
The Infrastructurist is true that "a decent 80 miles of links between the economic center of the state and the largest city and the capital is not a bad idea." But to say that 300 million dollars in federal funds would be better to HSR in the northeast, upper Midwest, and California is not out crazy, o.

LSU-Florida should be enough Ver SEC both have so much to prove

The victory in Georgia has become a little LSU senior this season, went to validate them.
Beating a place SEC opponent on the road is an impressive, like an encounter with a full speech Gaddafi United Nations.

But this week, the Tigers host the consensus number 1 in Florida in the showdown of the best college football season.
The status of all Earth-Young is quarterback Tim Tebow still an open question, but the smart money is to play on it.
Tebow and his accompanying army of seraphim certainly sweep of the East team and eat Tiger Stadium fans, who after all in an impressive display of their supernatural powers, the conventional wisdom.
Or not?
Here are a few things that has LSU and Florida so far this year.
LSU beat an out-of-conference team from BCS conference.
LSU won on the road against an SEC team score.
LSU beat a team from other disciplines.
Let's review return of the mighty Gators so far this year.
• dominated the opening victory against Charleston Southern and Troy. Combined record: 4-5.
FCS and the Charleston Southern lost 59-0 against South Florida.
• lackluster victory of Tennessee, a team that has not won a game against a BCS conference team this year, but Auburn lost at home last weekend.
• Good win at Kentucky. And I'm not sarcastic, that was a solid performance dominance.
One can say with certainty that the Gators will face more adversity than they have at any point this season when they travel to Death Valley Saturday to bear on the Tigers.
And although only a few that applications, there are substantial and serious, how effective it will be Tebow.
Tebow, more than any other quarterback in football, took a name, shows the will of the teams stack handler with anger. He is after suffering a head injury, are the same, but two weeks later, can?
He is the same courage in his entire career?
You have to move piles by the force of will and determination of the crown?
I do not know the answers to these questions. Nobody does.
And if there is one thing we have learned, is not bet against Tim Tebow.
But the improvement that LSU beat Florida, did not have to show that the fortress of the Gators show before the first test of the season.

Car Hire Nightmare in Miami

A recent vacation to Miami to break almost ended in disaster when the police stopped our car, a broken taillight.
My friend had convinced me to take a last minute package holidays to Florida. We were at a very cheap flight last minute luck with that device, gave us 7 nights in Orlando to explore and enjoy the Gulf Coast.
We flew from Gatwick to Orlando airport and went directly to the car in conflict with the collection of the keys to our car. We pre-arranged the car I wanted, and had reserved the first two nights at the Clarion Hotel, which lies on the Wet'n'Wild theme park near the international field. Our plan was to move to another hotel, as we wanted, but remain as they were satisfied with the hotel and what is on our doorstep.
After the break for the first night and enjoy fabulous food in the restaurant, we spent the day sightseeing and shopping. We produce an excellent day with a fantastic dinner at a seafood restaurant and a number of excellent entertainment along with great service. It was on the way back to our hotel, that things started to go downhill.
When we on the road a police car parked behind us and shown that we should stop. Ambtenaar one of the police told me that my car brake lights not working and asked me to the car a look. I told the police that he rented the car after arriving yesterday from the United Kingdom. The helpful police officer, he should open the trunk so he could take a look at our lamp failure.
When shined the flashlight in the trunk, he saw, and I have some traces of what looked like a white powder. Useful to the police immediately changed when he returned to his car, where he was to communicate some time to get on the radio is returned. It should only half a minute before the police arrived with two officers inside. We were told we had to the police for a series of questions to follow.
The station showed that the police suspect that our history is not true and in reality, the international drug dealer, just emptied a load of cocaine in the trunk somewhere in Orlando. My friend was understandably very shaken by the experience. It was nine hours before police were able to examine our history and who we were.
Fortunately, there are people in the car, even at this hour and let the police details of the person who had rented the car for our disposal of. I have no idea if the police have failed, those responsible for carrying drugs in the trunk of the car start.
